Week 3- 2/6/12, Assignment 2- Contemporary Native Artists
Native Artist:David Jones (Buffalo Horn)

summary:David jones is a full blood choctaw/delaware native american. he became inspired to be an artists 16 years ago while reflecting on his tribal heritage. Since then he has studied and researched many differnt styles of native american art, including pipes, rattles, drums, and many other differnt items. He won several first place awards for his work, his art has been distributed around the world, and is on display at museumes and universitys.


personal definition: My definition of native american art is using nature or natural materials to make a drawing or something that would help you. examples, drawing deer drinking from a little stream and tanning a deer hide ( drums, moccasins, drumsticks, etc..)
